PERSONAL TRAINING
Sometimes, you just need someone to push you, prod you, advise you and keep you motivated, so Genetics Fitness is proud to offer you a range of Personal Trainers that can concentrate on your fitness needs and give you one-on-one attention within the Genetics Fitness facilities.
Great for beginners who need a bit of a confidence-boost, there are both male and female Personal Trainers ready to take care of you. As well as providing individual attention, many of our Personal Trainers can also cater for groups of up to five people. Not only will this keep the costs down, but it is also a great way for a sporting team or business unit to achieve a bit of unity.
Some of our Personal Trainers can also help with injury and rehabilitiation.

BODYPUMP

RPM™is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s fun, low impact and burns loads of calories.
With great music pumping and the group riding as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. In an RPM workout you repeatedly reach your cardio peak then ease back down, keeping pace with the pack to lift your personal performance and boost your cardio fitness.
RPM is a great way to build up your sense of personal achievement. You can draw on the group’s energy and find your rhythm in the music. You control your own resistance levels and speed so you can build up your fitness level over time. It’s a journey, not a race!

SENIOR FITNESS
At Genetics Fitness we look after the fitness of all ages. You don’t have to be a member of Genetics Fitness to participate in either of these senior fitness classes. Heartmoves or Actives classess can help our senior’s out with their fitness goals. Ask the excellent staff at Genetics Fitness and they can advise which senior fitness class will suit you best.
The first class is complimentary and each class thereafter is only $10 per class. A ten-visit senior fitness pass can be purchased for just $90.00.
ACTIVE OVER 50
The Actives program is designed to help people aged 60 and over to lead a healthy and more active lifestyle. Classes have been developed specifically for people aged 60 and over, are low cost and are provided by trained fitness instructors.
Active classes will help people to improve their balance, strength, fitness and flexibility, and stay fit, healthy and independent for life. Balance training is an essential element of exercising for people aged 60 and over in helping to prevent falls.
We have now introduced a Seniors Classes just for men, with a more strength based class with less co-ordination needed.

The Active Men program is designed to help men aged 60 and over to lead a healthy and more active lifestyle. Classes have been developed specifically for people aged 60 and over, are low cost and are provided by trained fitness instructors.
Active Men classes will help people to improve their balance, strength, fitness and flexibility, and stay fit, healthy and independent for life. Balance training is an essential element of exercising for people aged 60 and over in helping to prevent falls.
HEARTMOVES
Heartmoves is an exercise program developed by the Heart Foundation.
Heartmoves has been developed specifically for people who have health risk factors or stable chronic illnesses such as heart disease. It is also ideal for people with diabetes, arthritis, lung and chest conditions, and those with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, depression, and bone or joint problems.
Heartmoves is suitable for people who need to exercise at a safe, low-moderate intensity. It is also suitable for people who haven’t exercised for a long time.
ACTIVE OVER 50

GENETICS RUNNING
Start running, keep running and run better with an awesome group of like minded people. Build endurance, strength and speed with our Summer/Autumn Running Training Program. Pace groups to ensure you run with runners of the same ability. Athletics Australia Certified Running Coaches and mentors to educate, support and encourage you along the way. Beginner, intermediate to the faster recreational runners catered for. Run courses set in Newcastle’s best running locations.
