Genetics Fitness Club’s
8 Week Half Marathon Training Program 2018
Starts Saturday 18th August 


This running group is for anyone who is interested in training for an up-coming Half Marathon. (It will be 8 weeks leading into Melbourne Half Marathon or 10km Races or 13 Weeks leading into Central Coast Half Marathon) or simply enjoying some distance running with a fabulous group of likeminded recreational runners.

Our Philosophy is always ‘Together we do better’ and you’ll be amazed what you can achieve when you feel support around you. Your trainers always have your back and your fellow runners are always by your side. Genetics Runners simply commit to put their best foot forward and together we get it done….rain, hail or shine!

Genetics Fitness Head Coach Danielle Rees will provide you with a training program to guide you each week and we will meet each week on the below dates and run either a tempo session or long distance session. Your team of Genetics running trainers will support and mentor you through each session and together we will work with you to help you achieve your best.

This Program will start with a minimum distance of 13km so if you are considering signing up ensure you been running 10-12km on a weekly basis and you are not currently injured. Please also ensure you are able to cover 10km in just over an hour to join the group. You are welcome to join if you are a faster runner however this program is aimed at those who are doing their first Half Marathon or who have run a couple between 1hr 50-2hrs 20 and are hoping to improve on this.

(**The above pre-requisite info is in your best interest, I don’t think it’s fair to suggest you join if you are not going to keep up with this pack and always off the back running alone, this is the only program we run of this kind throughout the year. I will keep you posted about upcoming programs which are suitable for runners of all levels later in the year)

Fitness Passport, Caretrac, LMCC & NCC Corporate pay member rate, but a visit will be recorded for each session attended.
